- Concept -

We first remember our experiences, and then record them. However, between remembering and recording comes "the slip" . This piece explores the differences between what really happened and what we end up recording. If there is an important experience I remember, I write it down in my notebook so I won't forget it. I try to remember what happened …no, I pretend to remember what happened. As soon as I write my record, it becomes a lie. Here comes “the slip”, the difference between what really happened and what I wrote down. Do you we accept the slip for what it is, or try to bury it out of desperation?

This piece acknowledges the distance between what happened and what we record, and through it, builds a hypothesis that this is our reason, our purpose for continuing to live.
